SOULUTIONS:

Q1 to 10 :
First get the total marks scored by each student and the total
marks scored by the the five in each subject from the average
marks given. Total score = average *5 so we have

Anjali = 196
Bhanu = 168
Chandra = 162
Dushant = 159
Eena = 183
Physics total = 163
Chemistry Total = 174
Maths Total = 179
Computers Total= 165
Biology Total = 187

Now draw a table with names in row and subjects in column and
fill the given data :

Phy Chem Math Computer Biology Total
Anjali 25 44 43 ? 46 196
Bhanu 24 ? 41 26 ? 168
Chandra ? ? ? 27 37 162
Dushant 43 20 ? ? 28 159
Eena ? 43 24 41 ? 183

Total 163 174 179 165 187

Now first get the score of Anjali in computers as all the
remaining score are available and total is also known.
Then score of Dushant in computers as we have the total marks
scored in Computers and we have the the marks scored by
everyone except Dushant.
Similarly the remain can be solved.
In Biology Bhannu and Eena scored same so we put each
marks as X then we have 46 +X+37+28+X=187 and thus get their
score. Finally we get :

Phy Chem Math Computer Biology Total
Anjali 25 44 43 38 46 196
Bhanu 24 39 41 26 38 168
Chandra 34 28 36 27 37 162
Dushant 43 20 35 33 28 159
Eena 37 43 24 41 38 183

Total 163 174 179 165 187

ANS 11 to 16 can be solved using following shortcut :
Let Total Length of two trains = D
Let Time taken to cross in opposite direction = T1
Let Time taken to cross in same direction = T2
then S1= | (D/T1) + (D/T2) | / 2
and S2= | (D/T1) – (D/T2) | / 2
SI = Speed of first train and S2= speed of second train.

SOLUTIONS:
Ans1 Area of the original Circle = Pi*17*17= 289Pi
Area of two circles with radius 8 = 2*Pi*8*8= 128Pi
Area of circle with radius 3cms= Pi*3*3=9Pi
Are of circle with radius 4 cms= 16Pi
Total Area Cut= 153 Pi
Total Balance area= 289Pi-153pi= 136Pi
So a. = 136Pi:153Pi ==>8:9
b= 153Pi: 289Pi==> 9:17
c. 136pi:289 Pi==> 8:17

Ans 10. Area of square = 52*52=2704
Area of 3 circles of 7 cms radius= 22*3*7*7/7= 462
Area of 1 circle of radius 14 cms= 22*14*14/7= 616
Area of 1 circle with radius 21= 22*21*21/7= 1386
Total Area Cut= 2464
Balance area= 240
Ratio of uncut to cut ==> 240:2464==> 15:54

Ans 17. Area of square = 961
Area of 3 square of side 11= 3*11*11= 363
Area of 3 squares of 7 cms side= 3*7*7= 147
Are of 5 squares of 2cms each = 5*2*2= 20
Total area cut= 530
Balance area= 431
So the ratio = 431:530

Ans1. Selling price of 98 units C.P+ Profit= 4532
Let the qty sold for 45 per unit be X
so the qty sold for 47 per unit= 98-x
45X+ 47(98-X)= 4532
45X-47X-4606=4532
2X=74 or X= 37

ANS 15 As 1 man = 3 boys,
275 men= 275 *3 boy = 825 boys
So total boys initially = 825+183= 1008
Let each boy consume x quantity each day, so the quantity in
stock = 1008*66*X
Now 18 men are added and 6 boys are reduced or18*3-6=48
boys are added
so new number of boys = 1008+48=1056 who will consume
1056X quantity each day.
so the number of days the stock will last = 1008*66*X/1056X =
63 days.

5^1=5
5^2=25
5^3=125
5^4=625
5^5=3125
Factorial 4001 = 4001* 4000 * 3999 * 3998 * 3997 * ………… 1.

Between 1 to 4000 are are number which are divisible by
5,25,125,625,3125
Number of numbers in range (1 to 4001) divisible :
a. by 5 are Truncate( 4001/5)= 800
b. by 25 are Truncate( 4001/25)= 160
c. by 125 are Truncate( 4001/125)= 32
d. by 625 are Truncate( 4001/625)= 6
e. by 3125 are Truncate( 4001/3125)= 1
So the highest power of 5 in factorial 4,001 is (a+b+c+d+e) 800+
